What to Bring
For activities we recommend wearing comfortable outdoor leisure wear, with plenty of layers. A light rain coat is
also required. Appropriate footwear is also required (old boots or trainers).

Sports Day/thanks girls

Well done to the organisers of the Sports Day - it didnt go exactly as planned but a massive well done to all for making such a great effort - I hope all the rest of the students appreciated your hard work - well done again!

Art work and all other work/final trip/Presentation night for ALL students

Please bring in as much Art work as u can on Monday for Monday night. This will be for the display. Please also bring in all work - portfolios scrap books etc. We need all your work in for the display for Monday night. Please have this to school on Monday morning as we will be setting up the display during school time on Monday.

Please also have your money on Monday morning for the final trip of TY - 15 euro - we will sort details on Monday - please also have your permission note in your diary. Very important.

Anyone who is not going on Monday night please let me know asap - this is only fair!! This obviously means that u can not go to the final trip of TY. Your Presentation night on Monday night is for all students and u are all required to attend. It is your night to show off all u have done. So I want everyone there. Full school uniform to be worn - this also means your tie!!! Uniform also to be worn on Monday at school.

Interviews/5 km race /Pe this week

Interviews - a massive well done to the majority of u who put in a massive amount of work. On the whole the standard of work is extremely high. Well done to all. I am sorry we did not get to see everyone. Know u all wanted to get through the interview. Still not sure as I have 8 classes on Monday but I will try to sort something. So anyone who still has an interview to do please be ready to go on Monday. We will hopefully see u all. Thanks.

There was a text sent out today about relay for life 5km on Tuesday. Please pass on to parents/ guardians. Anyone who wants to help out or take part in the run please phone the school and leave your name and number at reception. We need plenty of help!!!!!  Let's get everyone involved. All for a great cause. And get those sponsorship cards out!!!! Please be prepared for all types of weather.

Thursday Pe class will be at school. Bring warm clothes as u may be outside!!!

If anyone has any ideas for our end of year night, which is a night for TY’s please come and see Carmel Black, Niamh Shields or Niamh Grumley. We want to represent our year as best we can. If you want to do a presentation of your favourite subject or a favourite trip you can. So any ideas are welcome we have very little time. If you want to do something please say before Monday or Monday at the latest. Excellent excellent excellent be very proud!!!

Really really impressed with interviews today. The standard is very very high. Thanks to all who did the interviews. The large majority have been top class. N Oisin to finish in morn and then n Oliver and then n Orla so be ready. After we get through the first group we will send for u then. So that's the way we will work it for the rest of the week. We will send for u when we are ready. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

A lot of msgs - important to read all

I know that there has been a lot of msgs recently but I have been trying to make this as straight forward for you as I can - I want u to have all the information so please read all msgs - u do not want to be missing anything

I do not want to finish on a negative point but I have to mention this important point - as I have stated before - as I am trying to plan our final TY trip - u must remember that anyone who fails TY will not be allowed to go on the final trip for TY!

Please do not worry about the interviews (unless u have not all the work done) - they are all about your experiences - come in and tell us everything u have done and tell us all that u have achieved - be positive and be honest and enjoy the experience

Thanks a million to the 3 girls who were in school today helping me get organised for the TY Presentation night - the time is short so we have to start planning this night - we want to make it an enjoyable night

As I could not put up everyones absences and strikes and lates for obvious reasons - not fair on people - and because of the rushing about over the last few days - u fill these parts out as best u can - and I will give u the correct info at the interview stage - u will not loose marks if u fill in the wrong info but try to be as close as u can- use your diaries to help u!

well done to the groups that done cpr last week - the instructor and Mr Harmon remarked about how good u were - well done

As i said yesterday the lap top will be available today (outside your work experience) and on Monday from 830 til 9 on monday morning in the meeting room - after that time u will not get access to this lap top

Please make sure that u are in full school uniform - interviews will be in the meeting room - they will be done in the order of classes starting with:
Oisin then Oliver then Orla and then Odhran

Work experience

Can you post the following Work Experience Notice to the TY blog please:

All TY students are expected to attend work experience up to and including Friday, May 23rd.
Those working in primary schools will know there are elections on that day and so could make an arrangement to volunteer on a different day as a good will gesture towards the school.

All TY classes were recently provided with the final evalutaion to give to employers.
Please see Miss Corless to collect one of these if you've been recently absent/ involved in a school activity.

Best of luck

Best of luck to mini company groups tomorrow - know that u have done loads of work - hope all goes really well

2 girls that are going on hols - nice for some - please let me know the time for next thur - this is important - thank you - enjoy!

Looking forward to these interviews - had a sneak preview of a few today and they look great

Remember to load all onto the lap top by tomorrow - this is important - otherwise marks will be lost

Few more things that came up

Problem in the office today so I will try to get the list of attendance up first thing in morn - also the strike sheet will go up as well - I have the classes done out - I will update this over the weekend - keep checking the blogger - I did a draw with one of my classes to determine who will go first - this will follow

The box that u must display at the start of the presentation can be done separatly if u choose and this can be handed to me at the start of the interview - u can print this out and hand this to me - but if at all possible have it in your presentation - I do appreciate that u are waiting on me to give u the attendance info but also remember u should have a record of all your attendance in your diary

U can talk or u dont have to talk through your presentation  - depending on the format u are using - we may ask u additional questions or we may not - this will all depend - we can ask u anything about your presentation/ scrap book/ portfolio etc

Please be prepared that if the internet is down - do u have a plan b as we will be going ahead with the interviews - be prepared

Evaluation booklets are in my office - u have enough to be doing at the minute - u do not need to do the final evaluation at the minute

I went around all the classes today - hopefully I answered any concers u had - I will be around all day tomorrow - come and speak to me if u have a problem

This came up today aswell - regardless of the subject u need a piece of work from each subject area in your portfolio and this must be signed by the teacher - otherwise marks will be lost
